Originating in the Northeastern United States, coastal architecture has a rich heritage characterized by a blend of traditional and functional design elements. This type of architecture be traced earliest to the east coast seaboard communities where this architectural style historically emphasized durability, weather resistance, and a welcoming aesthetics.

These charming harbor towns not only played a crucial role in shaping the nation's history, economy, and culture but also continue to exert a lasting influence on coastal architecture today.
